10/28/2020 Week 8

Hey yall I'm sorry I didn't send a email out on monday it is transfer week and Pday is today not on Monday sorry about that haha. I'm staying with my comp and staying in conway so that is good. 

On Monday of last week we did another Pday with the district and we went mini golfing and that was fun and I got six hole in ones that was cool. Then I got my haircut and it looked like the lady shaved my head bald I looked funny all week haha

Tuesday we went to florence and went to their DCM and then did splits with the elders down there and that was fun. We then did stuff around the house to clean and put stuff away. Wednesday we did tons of service and helped with alot of stuff. Some members took us to lunch and it was very good and we had gospel class with the ward. 

Thursday we helped the conway sisters teach a lesson and we put him in date for December 26 so hopefully we can get them closer and soon.  And we did alot of Facebook stuff too. On friday we went to a bible study with a lady and as soon as we walked in I about passed out because of the smoking and smell it was sooo gross I definitely didn't want to be there haha. 

Saturday we helped the surfside elders so a service we took dirt out and put sand in a backyard and then put pavers down it looked really good. We then took a bed to the dump and that was fun the lady was very upset that we were like 5 minutes late so that was fun she was yelling and telling us she was mad because we were late haha. Sunday we just had church and did alot of members visiting and that was fun

10/19/2020 Week 7

The Lord Protects

 This was a crazy week and let's just say I have gained a stronger testimony of how the lord protects his missionary. 

Monday was Pday and we went up to north Carolina to play mini golf and it was super fun we played as a district. And that was about it hahs then on Tuesday we had DCM and that was good we talked about how to use members to find new people. And did a lot of Facebook finding and sitting around the house. 

Wednesday we went to sister muccluy and she is a weird person she just talked about how god is there but that he doesn't like her and we kept telling her that he loves everyone and it went on for about an hour and it was long haha. We also went to brother kings and he is going in for a back surgery this Wednesday and so we just talked with him and checked up on him. Then on Thursday we did a lot of fb finding then around 1 we get a call from a member saying they both tested positive for covid and we were with them on Saturday and Sunday before so we had a scare there but we are all good and not sick so they is good. 

Then on Friday we Went to a lot of members houses and taught them all about the restoration just to keep my teaching up to date. And then around 10 at night me and my comp were just talking about the day on the couch and then we hear some shouting which is normal around my house and then all the sudden we hear 8 gun shot and we had three wiz pass thre house and one hit a tree in my front yard and I'm pretty sure someone was killed haha but we didn't see anything let's just say we didn't get much sleep that night, we hid on the ground till we felt safe enough to look out the window.

Saturday was just a slow day lots of fb finding and service and that was about it 

Sunday was just church and a zoom meeting with my mission president with the stake I cover that was fun. It was really good. Hope yall have a good week

10/12/2020 Week 6

So this week was pretty awesome and super busy. 

Monday we went to the beach and we left the house at 5 am to get the to sunset but the clouds and buildings had other plans. So we didn't get to watch it but it was still super fun to see the sunset on the beach. Tuesday we went to this area called surfside and went to there DCM and then did splits with there district leader it was fun I went with him to a teaching appointment and that was cool. One of the kids scared me with a snake and huge lizard and I about pooped my pants. The elder I went with lived about 20 minutes from my mission boundaries he lived near Augusta. So he knew most of the people in south Carolina so that was fun. 

Wednesday we had a goal as a zone to find 22 people by 7 pm that and we found 35 people by 4 pm that was awesome. We also had this feeling to drop brownies off to this lady that was taught before I got here and she kept ghosting us and we got there and she was like I was about to call you guys and we taught her about the restoration and gave her a book of Mormon. Then on Thursday we meet with the same lady and taught alot of different things it was awesome. We did a lot of service we mowed some lady's lawns and then pressure washed this lady's driveway her name is lynn  for about 4 hours. And she isn't a member but she reminded me of my aunt Jana on my dad's side she kept swearing and laughing she called me a S head and I just thought if Jana it was the best 4 hours ever. I LOVE YOU JANA.  We are teaching Lynn too next week cant wait for that. 

Friday we did a lot of member visit. And a whole lot of Facebook stuff and trying to find people. Saturday we moved more rocks that sucked then we meet with a member and instead of a regular lesson he was like let's go on a walk and that was about 3 miles and I was dripping sweat so bad it sucked hahhab and Sunday he had church and just did lots of facebook stuff.

10/5/2020 Week 5

 Hey everyone this week was so awesome. Monday we spend all day the church getting ready for zone on Tuesday sorry no pics of that. And we had a baptism by the sister in our ward I had to say the closing pray so that was fun. The person who got baptized has a crazy story and it was awesome to see him feel the spirit when he come up from the water. Tuesday we had zone conference and it was awesome my first one and it was awesome. I feel bad my comp had a lesson to teach and I just sat there and looked like a weirdo haha. It was so good tho. Then we had some elder come to the house for dinner and then left at like 9 they stayed was to late hahah. 

Wednesday I had interview with my president and it went good it was good to sit down with him and talk about mission stuff. We also did some service for a members in the ward we also had a stake president meeting and that was super long. Thursday we did a ton of service for members moved stuff around the house and some rocks around a garden it was fun but super hot 

Friday we did some more service we took some crap to the dump it was gross. And we did a lot of Facebook finding and it was long and boring. Saturday we watched conference and it was awesome elder oaks laid down the hammer it was awesome. Sunday we watched with members and as a district it was fun. And today we went to the beach as a district Pday so cool.

2 down 22 to go!! 10/4/2020

Today was Conference Sunday (so technically fast Sunday was

last Sunday), we went on a hike up above the Temple. Makinley went

with us and endured the arguing all the way up the mountain. :))

Stockton has been working a ton at the golf course and starts

refing basketball games again this week. School is still hybrid for

us since VHS has the highest amount of Covid cases in Davis School District.

Easton has been doing intramural for 2 weeks and has jr high bball tryouts

Monday and Tuesday. School is going well for him as well.

Berklie finished cheering at the BJH Volleyball games and is learning so 

much. She can't wait to cheer for Eastons bball games.

She isn't loving online school but does love she can do it in her PJs.

Covid cases in our city are out of control and are in the 1,000 a day, but 

because we are wearing masks things aren't going close.

Temples are starting to open up more and more every month. Can't wait

for them to open to Phase 4 so we can get back there.

Dad is working like crazy and watering even more :)) He loves his yard

and his green grass. We have had some outdoor movies but I think what

everyone is most excited for is UTAH UTES games to start up again.

Mom is doing hair like crazy and loves it!! She drives everyone around 

and also loves it. That is when her kids talk to her :)) 

We enjoy having Makinley come over and spend time with us, she has

been watching Vanhilles kids a lot and starts nannying a family this coming month.

She is always so positive and smiling no matter what comes her way.

The fall leaves are changing and the holidays are upon us.

We love reading Elder Foxs letters and seeing pictures of how 

beautiful SC is and can't wait to get back there.
